“For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in His pavilion; In the sacred place of His tabernacleHe shall hide me;He shall set me high upon a rock. And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me;Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle;I will sing ,yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.”
I gotta tell you , I have had my hard times. Times when I felt alone in darkness. This darkness would make me feel very lonely. It makes me wonder what Jesus could have felt on the cross when he was separated from his heavenly father. My pitiful pain is just nothing like his ever was, it is nothing like he could have felt in that moment of darkness.
“He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle ”
This part of the verse makes me feel secure and know that when everything else fails I can go to Him and he will hear my voice. He will spend his time to listen to my cries.
The assurance of His love and protection on the next couple of lines remind me of this little girl who is scooped up by His gigantic caring and loving hands and placed in His lap. There she feels untouchable from any harm.
This love is our heavenly Father’s love. His love endures and lasts forever, never disappearing, and does not depend on his mood or what day it is. It is here to stay FOREVER, never be removed or be taken!
There may be some of you who never had a chance to experience your earthly father’s love. You might have a difficult time understanding our Heavenly Father and His love. Maybe your earthly father never loved you the way you should’ve been loved. Maybe you never had a father who was there growing up, maybe your father had an addiction problem, maybe he was away a lot.
We all have different circumstances but our heavenly father’s love will never be removed ! He loves you and me just as we are! His love does not depend on our circumstances. So grateful for his grace and mercy and I can only encourage you to cry out to the Lord in your darkest moments! His forever lasting love was demonstrated on the cross when Jesus Christ was crucified. No more sorrow, no more tears! Rejoice in Him and find peace.
