If you ever wonder about testing times, I can assure you, it happens to all of us! Test comes without warning in many forms.
Sometimes it comes from a direction you never dreamed of, sometimes it comes from small things, and sometimes it can come from bigger things. Many of us has the question why this is happening to me and not someone else?
Why are we struggling with certain things and for others it seems like easy breezy?
Just when I was on the edge and ready to give up, God reviled it to me the question is “what” not “why”…
Instead of asking why my circumstances are the way how they are, I can change my outlook and ask the question WHAT can I do to prevent or to fix it.
Look at what the Bible says about testing times.
1 Peter 1:6-9Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)
6 You rejoice in this, though now for a short time you have had to struggle in various trials 7 so that the genuineness of your faith—more valuable than gold, which perishes though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 8 You love Him, though you have not seen Him. And though not seeing Him now, you believe in Him and rejoice with inexpressible and glorious joy, 9 because you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
The character of our faith shows our belief system.
If this results in praise and glory and honor in the light of Jesus we find joy knowing our goal is eternal life with Him.
Circumstances will bring us closer to Him, we just have to let in the fullness of God. Because He can use the bad and turn it into something good and new. We just have to trust in him blindly out of pure faith.
That’s how we can live true to him and his word.
