In that very place where you are… in the
brokenness that no one can possibly
understand. When there is nothing left that you
can give, so burned out, so exhausted..Where
could you hide and find shelter?Where could
you possibly move to from the walls of defeat
that’s closing down on you?In your broken
heart, feeling rejected and hurt with all of your
relationships collapsing, crushing down in
super speed it seems like. What is the whole
purpose of this?
What is to be learned here?
Brokenness is beautiful because it is the
beginning of a healing process.
I know, you are probably thinking:”What a
heck is she saying?”
Our broken spirit is the result of sin. Please
don’t stop reading just yet. I know some of you
are thinking…”Here comes the guilt
trip!…” Please, hear me out!
Sin has entered our life a long time ago. If you
look back in Genesis you can read about the
very first sin that entered this earth.
Sin happens in our life because we carried it
through generations of generations. We can’t
stop it unfortunately, but with God’s help we
can rejected it. We have the option to choose to
do the right thing!
The characteristics of a broken spirit includes
sadness,hopelessness, absent of love, sorrow,
hurt, sinful habits, feeling rejected, broken
heart…etc.
“To be broken is the beginning of healing.”
This is the time when you need to reach out to
God because everything else you tried has
failed you. Surrendering to Christ is the key to
be redeemed and to be transformed. Through
the spirit of the Lord we are changed. By
his wounds we are healed.
Isaiah 53:5
But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.
Brokenness is beautiful because it is
redeemable by Jesus Christ. Let’s face it, there
is this hunger in our soul to be filled
with love, acceptance, to feel wanted and to
feel we belong. We are unable to create these
things on our own. Living a life just to
exist and live only to feed our desires is not
fulfilling in the long run. It gives us temporary
happiness that is claimed by us.
When we rely on the Father and let the Holy
Spirit guide us, we claim Jesus as our redeemer.
As we experience his love from
our broken places we find joy and happiness
that glorifies His name.
To be filled with the spirit of God is an active
work every day. We have to choose Him over
and over again. When we do He will
seal us with his spirit and honor us to be
successful in our Christian walk.
“Through the spirit we are redeemed “
John 12:26
Anyone who wants to be my disciple must follow me, because my servants must be where I am. And the Father will honor anyone who serves me.
So sister, that pit you are in right now…there is
a way out of there! Have faith and trust that the
Lord can lift you up and love you through it all!
Do you want to live your purpose
as it was written for you?
Be present and choose Him every day that is
where true happiness lies.
