Hey girl! When was the last time you could actually sit down and have a full blown conversation with someone and trust them with every word and not feel judged?
For some it is hard to let their guards down…for some it is difficult to trust and have faith in people.
I’m not gonna lie, me and my husband are very welcoming and open with people. We don’t hide much..You get what you see! Sometimes we expose a little too much maybe of our feelings and thoughts, but we love to love people and care for them! Don’t get me wrong, it is not like we talk about our very personal stuff to just anyone, but we trust people who we feel connected to.
I think this connection is confirmed through the Holy Spirit to us and it is very special. Now that I am getting close to my 40’s I have to realize we are not the usual crowd!
Personally, I feel like we have hope and faith in people and we will do our best to never lose that.Of course we have been disappointed throughout our life with others, maybe we just expected to much at times. People will never be perfect we know that, therefore we accept reality and have faith and hope in our God who is in control not in the people.
Thus says the Lord: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart turns away from the Lord. He is like a shrub in the desert, and shall not see any good come. He shall dwell in the parched places of the wilderness, in an uninhabited salt land. “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.” The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it? …
I guess we all have to work on being good listeners, weigh in when it’s needed for a friend , but also to make sure we treat our conversations serius and secret according to the situation!
So be the one who other’s can trust! Be a good friend and cherries when someone actually trust you with deep hurt or fear. Be the one who can show them Jesus Christ is the way.
