Let’s Be Real,
I’m just going to go ahead and say this is not exactly how I imagined our spring break at all. I’m sure you too, are still trying to grasp all that has been happening around the world and even in our own country. I’m not going to pretend and say I haven’t been upset or stressed out about the changes we had to make in our life and are still making today to adjust to all that is happening. Chris and I have been on an emotional rollercoaster since last week; feeling sad for the ones who have been directly effected by COV-19 and laughing at times at the countless funny memes seen on social media about the toilette paper shortage and homeschooling.
But at the end of the day we have to slow down and remember we have been preparing for this for a long time… We have to remember that we have never been in control, God has!
I had to remind myself that this is the time, right now, to live out our faith like never before! This is the time to live our “best life” through Jesus and not to let go of hope!
Sweet friend, remember this: God has been in control this whole entire time and I have no doubt that He is going to turn all this for good! He still has a plan for your life. Circumstances will not change what He has already written! So don’t give in to the panic; not now, not ever! Don’t let fear cripple you and the unknown shatter your hopes and dreams!
Know that He is with you right now in this moment! He is here to walk with you through the storm so you can come out stronger than ever before!
Try to create a daily routine of practicing gratitude:Look for a devotional and write down your daily verse. (Soon you will be able to use one of my encouraging daily devotionals, coming soon!!!! )
After writing your verse, take a moment to reflect and write down at least 3 things you are thankful for. It is so easy to get caught up in the negativity, especially right now. Reflect on all the good things you are blessed with.
Pray – Focus on the goodness of God, thank Him for all those things you listed on your gratitude list. Ask Him to guide you throughout the day and give you peace.
Carry that light with you,
let it be as contagious as COVID- 19!
